Tiffany Zepeda

Chair

Tiffany was born and raised in Key Largo until high school and then moved to Alachua County. She attended the University of Central Florida in Orlando where she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Afterwards, to the Gainesville area once again and attended University of Florida to earn a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education. She moved back to the Florida Keys in 2009 and began teaching at Key Largo School. Tiffany is also a mentor teacher, the AVID Site Coordinator, a volleyball coach, and the Take Stock in Children Scholarship contact at KLS. She was awarded with Inclusion Teacher of the Year for the District of Monroe County during the 2013-2014 school year, as well as Key Largo School Teacher of the Year for the 2018-2019 school year. She enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and daughter, especially out on the water and outdoors.  

Ryan Smith

Co-Chair

Ryan is a Key Largo Native being born and raised in South Florida and raised in Key Largo. After graduating with a Master’s degree from FSU Ryan moved back to his roots and became a PE teacher at Key Largo School. Ryan is currently the Athletic Director at Key Largo School and teaches middle school physical education. During his spare time he enjoys fishing and spending time with his wife, Mandi, and his two boys, Cooper and Caiden.

Allysa Lund

Secretary

Allysa was born and raised in Minnesota, where she graduated with a degree in Elementary and Special Education. Allysa moved to the Florida Keys in 2015 with her fiancé Tony and is a Special Education teacher and coach at the Key Largo School. Allysa has earned Inclusion Teacher of the Year for the 2019-2020 school year. Allysa is the co-owner of Forever Young Charter Company and has a strong passion for teaching about the ocean. She enjoys being on the boat fishing, diving, or relaxing watching the sunset.

Lissette Castillo

Treasurer

Lissette M. Castillo was born and raised in Florida where she graduated with a degree in Elementary Grades 1-6 and later obtained Special Education K-12.  She has been teaching for 21 years. Lissette began her career at the Pembroke Pines Charter Schools where she was recognized as Teacher of the Year in 2000. She continued to further her teaching career with Miami Dade County as a Curriculum Support Specialist under the Reading First Grant. Lissette currently resides in Key Largo, Florida with her two children Jason and Jenna.  She is a Varying Exceptionalities ESE K-2 teacher at Key Largo School where she is currently teaching herself and others American Sign Language to effectively communicate with her Deaf/Hard of Hearing students. When she is not teaching, Lissette enjoys to spend time with her family and friends. She enjoys to cook and go out on the boat to watch the beautiful Key Largo sunsets. 

Key BOARD Members

Jessica Graham

Jessica is a native Floridian and an alumni of Florida International University. She has a Bachelor of Music Technology and Masters of Environmental Studies with a focus in outdoor and experiential education.

Jessica moved to Key Largo in 2012, where she is a middle school life science teacher and yoga teacher. Jessica has earned Teacher of the Year for the 2019-2020 School Year at Key Largo School as well as Teacher of the Quarter for the Islamorada Chamber of Commerce. She enjoys traveling, aromatherapy, and a variety of outdoor activities.

Henry Menendez

Henry Menendez is the President at HNO Productions, where he manages events from start to finish, including event planning, event production, and marketing.

Henry now owns the Key Largo Bridge Run and has assisted with the production of the Miami Marathon & Half Marathon Weekend and the City of Deerfield Beach Fourth of July Festival, among others. Henry helps event directors and planners bring their ideas to life within their allocated budget, whether it’s a Corporate Event, Wedding, Festival, or Sporting Event.

Outside of his event life, Henry is a dog-lover and enjoys dinning out with his wife.

Wendi Sullivan

Wendi is from Malvern, Pennsylvania.  She attended West Chester University earning her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education and her Master’s in Education with a specialization in Reading.

Wendi began her teaching career in Coatesville, Pennsylvania and moved to the Florida Keys in 2003, where she started working at Key Largo School.  Wendi has earned the Inclusion Teacher of the Year in 2008-2009 & 2012-2013, in addition she was honored as Key Largo School Teacher of the Year for the 2014-2015 school year.  Wendi is a dedicated educator and is involved in many activities.  Wendi is the Upper Keys Area Vice President for the United Teachers of Monroe.

In addition, she is the Community School Manager, Flag Football Coach, member of the Building Level Planning Team and part of the New Teacher Induction Program.  Her husband is a boat captain and they enjoy being on the water. Wendi is a huge animal lover, loves being outdoors and enjoys relaxing with friends and going to the beach.
